Plants

The Iveragh Peninsula is filled with fascinating plants that add so much character to the landscape - our charismatic flora create the vibrant splashes of spring colour in our hedgerows, stone walls and coastline; the purple haze of heather on the hillsides in autumn and the golden glow of our bogs in winter. These plants build the habitats and produce the food that support the rest of our wildlife. They are also special, sometimes rare, and always worth pausing to admire for their own beauty.
